Welcome to Maniac Monday hosted by Classroom Freebies! I'm so glad you could stop by!
I created these Goal Setting Templates because in Special Education, we are constantly setting goals! The kids work so hard for each accomplishment that it amazes me! They are also very interested in what their goal is so they can move to the next level.
I decided that I would turn the "power" over to them and allow them to set their goals and track their progress. They've really taken that role seriously and are now invested in their progress. It has made such a difference in my classroom and I hope it makes a difference in yours! Here is a preview of a few of them.
Just click on any of the pictures above to download this FREEBIE!!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Don't miss out on the HUGE savings going on TODAY and on MONDAY!!!!

Lori, I love making students accountable for their own goal setting and monitoring whenever possible! It really does make a difference!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope the freebie is useful for you!
DeleteGreat work Lori! I love that so many special Ed bloggers have chose to do a piece on goals and data. It is the foundation of what we do!! I was recently at a conference where a presenter asked why we think kids are so into video games, then she went on to say that kids know what the goal is, that is what keeps them going... Winning the next level, getting the bad guy, etc. Individual goal setting and monitoring definitely keeps kids going:) keep up the good work!

Considerate Classroom
That's so cool to make that connection! I've found that my kids LOVE to compete! I try to keep it simple but they've really responded to Multiplication Olympics to learn their facts. I plan on doing a post about that soon!
DeleteWonderful freebie! It is proven that we can close gaps between regular and special ed students by having students keep track of progress. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love that you reference closing that gap. Too many teachers don't realize that is the ultimate goal! Hope the freebie is useful for you!
DeleteJust found this post from Classroom Freebies! Love your blog! I am so excited to see a special education blog!
